Francisco was born in Monterrey, Mexico, where he coursed his schooling, including 2 years of Liberal Arts/English/Philosophy at the State University of Nuevo Leon; before moving to the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, to join his family already established in the area.
Francisco first became licensed by the State of Illinois in 1993, working with buyers and sellers, helping his clients achieve their dream of home ownership, along the way becoming a REO/HUD specialist, acquiring the skills necessary to master that aspect of the real estate business, as well as financing and negotiation skills essential to successfully achieve his clients’ goals; promptly earning the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation from the National Association of Realtors.
Throughout his career in the Chicago area, Francisco always went above and beyond his fiduciary duties to ensure his clients always were informed and protected until they achieved their goals finding the perfect property to call home. Along the way, he was able to help parents and offspring sons and daughters as well. Francisco still gets calls from his past clients from Illinois seeking advice.
Francisco met his husband James E. Dunford Jr. In 2009, getting married in December 2011 in Chicago. They moved to the Detroit area in 2013 to be close to James’ mother. Francisco took a sabbatical from real estate while living in MI, working in the hotel and hospitality industry, learning new skills along the way.
Francisco and James, after losing James’ mother in April 2015, decided to move to Las Vegas, NV in August of 2016, to be close to Francisco’s mother and sister; along the way they stopped for the night in Grand Junction and became smitten with the weather enjoyed by the Valley at the beginning of August of 2016. They traveled to their destination and family in Las Vegas, where they found within a couple of days that they’d rather be in Grand Junction, and were able to come back and establish themselves in this amazing community.
Francisco and James have made many friends in Grand Junction, becoming involved and supporting the LGBTQ community, giving of their time, money and support whenever necessary.
Francisco now looks forward to help his clients realize their dream of home ownership in the Valley for years to come, and to contribute to the growth of this amazing community.
